Experts: Trial Break Gives Amber Heard An Edge

The Johnny Depp defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard is on a break until May 16th - it's a previously scheduled pause as Circuit Court Judge Penney Azcarate is attending a conference. As some legal analysts see it, this will give Heard a slight edge in the case.

Before the break, jurors heard two days of Heard’s testimony about her relationship with Depp, giving graphic detail about alleged instances of physical violence and brutal beatings. Los Angeles jury consultant Richard Gabriel says, “Instead of moving on to something else and focusing on that,” jurors will instead sit for over a week with Heard’s testimony on their minds.

NBC legal analyst Danny Cevallos said, “This is a significant break and people are going to marinate in” Heard’s testimony.
