We're just a few days away from the State Fair of Texas opening. And there will be all kinds of new food you can try. One of the things I', most looking forward to is the The Dallas Hot Birddog from Fletcher's. It has a smoked turkey frank in a fiery batter, deep fried, topped with mac & cheese, fried jalapeños, and drizzled with Cholula. They had me at mac & cheese. A few other things that sound good are Deep Fried Toffee, Texas Fried Fritos Pie and Bag of Eggrolls. That one just intrigues me. I mean who doesn't want a bag of egg rolls? There is so much more I'm sure you'll want to try. Luckily, they've created an entire page for reference under BigTex.com/newfoods, which also includes a map on where to find them. Happy eating!
