I started binge watching Sex in the City as soon as I heard about the reboot on HBO Max. It's one of my all time favorite shows. I've probably seen every season at least 10 times and they never get old. I wasn't even 3 minutes in to an episode when I thought "no way can they do this with out Kim Cattrall, who plays Samantha Jones". She is iconic. It just won't be the same without her. In my opinion her character is the best one on the show. While I love all the ladies I think she is the star. I'm at least thankful they didn't re-cast the character because that would have been even worse.
Most of the details are under wraps but here are a few details. It will be called "And Just Like That...". It won't be a new season but a new chapter of Sex in the City. Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Kristin Davis (Charlotte York Goldenblatt), and Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes)will play their original characters as "they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s. SJP said we also see other familiar faces. When asked if Mr. Big will be back she said "wait and see". I did hear a rumor they were going to kill him off early on but that hasn't been verified.
So without Samantha and possibly Mr. Big will I be watching? Yes. At least to see if I can get back on board with one of my favorites of all time. I might even be sipping on a Cosmo as I watch. -Leigh Ann
