I found out this morning that my old neighborhood in Sugar Land, a full mile or more from the Brazos River, was evacuated last night because of imminent major flooding. The scale of flooding in the Houston metro is just astounding. Today, the head of FEMA, and Houston officials, are asking that we all get personally involved in helping however we can. Here's the news conference this morning with the list of needs. For now...it really looks like the most efficient way to help from this far away is to give to the Red Cross effort. There's a link on our webpage to donate.
