What's Happening In San Antonio This Week - 10/17/22

This week is so stacked we had to add two more top events to the usual lineup. Get into live music, a screening, food fests, comedy, and more! ICYMI: A cold front is rolling in too!

Worth Repeating @ Texas Public Radio (Tuesday). TPR's storytelling series returns with the theme Ghosted featuring tales of the paranormal and other relationship hauntings. Attendees can also enjoy Happy Howl, live music, and more.

Lamb of God @ Freeman Coliseum (Tuesday). GRAMMY-nominated metal rockers Lamb of God are slamming the Freeman stage for The Omens Tour. Special guests Killswitch Engage, Animals As Leaders, and Fit For An Autopsy are opening.

Oktoberfest @ Alamo Beer Co. From Wednesday to Sunday, Alamo Beer Co. will be hosting its annual Oktoberfest celebration featuring German-inspired food, live music, beer, and more.

Turnpike Troubadours @ Whitewater Amphitheater (Thursday). Country music's roots rock band Turnpike Troubadours is taking the Whitewater stage for a full weekend. Tickets still remain for Thursday but Friday and Saturday are sold out.

The Echo Project Screening @ Carver Community Cultural Center (Thursday). San Antonio Poet Laureate Andrea "Vocab" Sanderson will be hosting a free screening of The Echo Project, a recording of student poets reading their original works that were inspired by various notables who have influenced local culture.

Jessie Reyez @ Aztec Theatre (Thursday). Pop-R&B vocalist Jessie Reyez is headed to the historic Aztec for her new YESSIE tour. SADBOI FKA EBHONI will be opening.

Mole Festival @ Centro Cultural Aztlan (Thursday). The exciting gastro-cultura culinary experience known as the Mole Festival is returning for its 14th season. Foodies can enjoy over 20 decadent mole dishes prepared and generously donated by local restaurants, chefs, and community cooks.

5K for the Neighborhood @ St. Mary's University (Saturday). St.MU's 9th annual 5K for the Neighborhood is back this Saturday for another opportunity to raise funds to enhance services and outreach programs in the St. Mary's Gateway District. Registration is still open!

Puscifer @ Tech Port Center + Arena (Saturday). Experimental rock band Puscifer, the solo project of Tool and A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan, is bringing The Existential Reckoning Tour to Tech Port. Limited tickets are still available!

Indigo Girls @ The Rustic (Saturday). Folk/indie-rock duo Indigo Girls is making a special appearance at The Rustic with their latest album Look Long plus fan-favorite hits in tow. Special guest Jontavious Willis will be opening.

Zombie Walk @ Hemisfair (Saturday). The biggest zombie gathering in Texas returns to downtown San Antonio this weekend with a 90s theme. Kids 10 and under get in free.

Steve Martin & Martin Short @ Majestic Theatre (Sunday). Legendary comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short, as seen on Only Murders in the Building, Saturday Night Live, and so much more, are bringing their hilarious show You Won't Believe What They Look Like Today! to the historic Majestic for one night only.
