Food That Help With Anxiety

Anxiety is very prevalent normally. Right now it's way worse. No surprise there. And it's not something to be embarrassed about either. I have anxiety. I take medicine for it every day.

But what else can you do? Take up a hobby, meditate, exercise, read a book, take a bubble bath, binge a tv show. Something could work for you.

There are also foods that can help.

⁰ Ashwagandha - I had to look this one up because I've never even heard of it. It's an evergreen shrub that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. Its roots and orange-red fruit have been used for hundreds of years for medicinal purposes. The herb is also called Indian ginseng or winter cherry. Ashwa means horse and supposedly that's what the root smells like. (ewww)

⁰ Fermented Foods - yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, kombucha, etc. All of these foods have one major common “ingredient” and that's probiotics.

⁰ Fruits and Vegetables – they’re good for your brain and your mental health

⁰ Good-for-You Fats – you want saturated fats (unsaturated is bad). Foods include: olive oil, avocados, fatty fish, walnuts

⁰ Green Tea – drink this instead of going decaf
