Kids' Chores Help Their Mental Health

I have some friends who LOVE to clean. They say it makes them feel better. It's a mindful exercise. So why wouldn't that work for kids, too?

  • Chores can keep kids busy.
  • Chores give kids a sense of accomplishment.
  • Chores help kids feel like their part of something bigger and that they're contributing.
  • Having kids keep their play areas and bedrooms clean can help release stress.

It's important right now that kids feel a part of "the team," included, involved.

Even very young kids can have chores. Make them a list of chores with pictures so they can see what they have to do.
