Make Sure You Wear Your Masks Correctly

If you're going to wear a face mask, at least make sure you're wearing it correctly.

Make sure the mask covers your face and mouth. You wouldn't think I'd have to say this, but tell me, how many people have you seen out there wearing them only over their mouths?

Don't take the mask off too soon. Instead of putting it on and taking it off in the car, put it on before you leave the house and take it off after you get back home.

Most importantly: don't touch the mask portion. Once you've worn the mask, it's contaminated (or potentially contaminated) and you don't want that on your hands or spread around your house. Remove it using the ties in the back.

Wash your mask in hot water each time you wear it. Also, you can use a bandana or scarf as a face covering if you don’t have a cloth mask.
