Sia and Maddie Ziegler have joined forces with Instagram's Reels to preview their upcoming team-up.
Ahead of the track's Friday (November 19) release, the pop star took to the social media platform's feature to tease the upcoming song called "Hey Boy" with a quirky clip of her go-to collaborator. In the footage, Ziegler is seen jumping into various Sia-esque outfits as a snippet to the track plays in the background. "Keep this tease on loop until then," the caption to the Reels read. "Lots of news about Music the movie, album and more coming next week. Use this teaser to create your own Reel and we'll share them to Stories!"
"Hey Boy" is reportedly featured on the singer's upcoming album, Reasonable Woman, which is scheduled to drop in 2021. In the meantime, the Aussie chart-topper has plenty to focus on, including her aforementioned upcoming directorial debut, which sees her unravel the story of an autistic teenager, who is cared for by her sober, drug-dealing sister. She co-wrote and co-produced the musical, alongside children's book author Dallas Clayton and producer Vincent Landay, respectively. Music stars Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr. and Ziegler, and is scheduled to hit IMAX theaters early next year.
"This was a terrible idea, but I'm really, really glad I did it because I think it's the best thing I've done even though it's the hardest," Sia previously iHeartRadio of working on the film as a director and producer, emphasizing its harsh contrast from her usual responsibilities as a songwriter.
