Some of us can hardly wait for the moment we get to put up the Christmas tree and start decorating it, but some people who love Halloween, like really love it, are getting into the spooky spirit of their favorite holiday by decorating Halloween trees. As in putting orange and black lights, pumpkins, ghosts, and the whole deal on a Christmas tree. Sure, the idea takes a little getting used to, but research has shown that putting up holiday decorations early makes us happier, so this should too.
Halloween trees proudly posted to Instagram show there’s a lot of different ways to decorate. Some folks use artificial green Christmas trees and orange and black garland, string lights, and ornaments, so it really looks like a Halloween-themed Christmas tree. Others go for white trees, black trees covered in spiderwebs, some have skulls and are scary, others are very kid-friendly and fun.
And while we’re still not sure a Halloween tree is worth the trouble, if it was the same tree you could strip down and redecorate for Christmas, it would be one less thing we had to do later. But what are you supposed to do with it from the day after Halloween to the day after Thanksgiving?
