A five-month-old baby is being called a miracle child after surviving a night alone in the woods in Montana. The baby was placed face down on the ground and covered with sticks and other debris and in 40 degree temperatures for nine hours over the weekend.
If it weren’t for someone reporting a man acting erratically in Lolo National Forest, the ending may not have been happy. That man was watching the baby and when police responded they found out the child hadn’t been seen for hours and was “somewhere buried in the woods.”.
They got to work searching and somehow discovered the baby six hours later under the debris. It was crying faintly and that’s all the rescuers needed to hear! The infant is recovering in the hospital and was in good condition at last check. The caregiver is in custody.
