An Indiana teen says she was fat shamed by other customers while in line at a bakery. Her response: buy out all the cupcakes so her hater can’t have any. Vega Blossom was in line at the bakery when she overheard the woman behind her say, “Let’s hope this fat b**** doesn’t buy all the cupcakes.” The overweight teen recalls feeling hurt by the comments, but wanted to teach the customer a lesson.
“I swallowed the hurt and thought of the best possible thing I could do back to them that wasn’t horrible, but that would teach them a lesson about respecting others,” Blossom says. Blossom originally went in for just six cupcakes, but instead bought the shop out of its stock of 20 cupcakes all so her haters couldn’t have any. The store even gave her additional chocolates and cookies for free after overhearing the woman’s comments.
“Hopefully, this was a lesson in treating others kindly and maybe a lesson in karma as well,” Blossom notes. The icing on the cake? She even made the taunting customers hold the door open for her as she carried out her boxes. “Reluctantly, one woman held the door open before following me outside. I think, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all,” offers Blossom. The teen ended up indulging in her sweets with friends, family and co-workers over Eater weekend.
