Could Jerry Be Forced Out As Owner Of The Cowboys?

There have been lots of rumors overnight about if Jerry was going to be forced to sell the Cowboys if he loses his lawsuit against the NFL. The Short answer is NO WAY! Jerry is many things. However, one is not stupid. CBS Sports, which is one of the sites reporting this story knows this as well, which is probably why it's being called the "Nuclear option." Meaning if the NFL, boots Jerry, EVERYONE loses. The other owners are saying that Jerry incouraged Papa Johns to make negative comments about the NFL and pull ad dollars away. If the allegations are proven to be true, then the owners can say that Jerry is guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the League or professional football.  However, proving Jerry convinced Papa Johns to pull ad dollars away from the NFL is going to be extremely difficult.

Worst case, the NFL does permanent harm to their brand and Jerry sells the club to his son, and it is business as usual for the Cowboys. The NFL loses way more in the trading of punches here, and that is why this will never happen. As I said Jerry is many things, statically stupid is not one of them.
