Facebook Has A Novel Way To Fight Revenge Porn

Facebook has come up with an interesting way to combat revenge porn. The popular social media site is reportedly testing a plan by asking users in Australia to send nude photos to themselves using Facebook Messenger. The program is in partnership with a government agency there called e-Safety.

They will then block the pictures from being uploaded by another user. Facebook officials say they plan to use an algorithm to determine if the photos were posted and then block the picture from being re-shared.

The main concern is the tight security surrounding the provided photos. If the pilot program works, expect to see it here at some point.
