Southwest Airlines has inked a deal with Warner Music Nashville to provide live in-flight music. On a recent flight, country artist Devin Dawson helped the airline kick off their series “Live at 35” referring to the plane’s altitude of 35,000 feet.
Video of the performance has gone viral, which shows a group of musicians cramped in the first two rows of the plane, but not for a good reason. Many of the passengers took to Twitter to complain about the performance. “Customers: You know, free WiFi would be nice. Southwest: Here's Creed," tweeted @AdamHSays.
Southwest began having artists perform on flights in 2011, but considering the recent feedback and backlash, they may choose to cut back on live music on certain flights.
