McDonald's has learned the hard way that a lot of people like "Rick and Morty." The fast food chain promised to bring back its 1998 Szechuan sauce, which plays a big part in the animated series, after a fan campaign. Micky D's promoted the one day return...then didn't deliver.
According to Huffington Post, only 20 sauce packets were given to each location. Other fans say their McDonald's didn't have any or they sold out before the time advertised. Naturally, "Rick and Morty" fans took to Twitter to voice their anger.
McDonald's got the message and tweeted, "The best fans in the multiverse showed us what they got today. We hear you & we're sorry not everyone could get some super-limited Szechuan."
