Mass Shooting In Vegas

Las Vegas Victim Count Rises-Las Vegas police are confirming that more than 50 people were killed in last night's mass shooting along the Strip. Over 100 others are injured.

Shots rang out while country singer Jason Aldean was playing the Route 91 Harvest Festival. Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo held a press conference and confirmed the toll. The one shooter a Steven Paddock,64-year-old Las Vegas local, is thought to be a lone wolf attacker. Police have shot and killed the subject in the Marilou Danley hotel room, and have also apprehended the shooter's companion.

Lombardo also said reports of multiple shooters and explosions were not accurate and that some off-duty officers were among the dead. The Boulevard has been locked down, with few exceptions, and a task force continues to assess the situation.

ATF and FBI agents are assisting with the investigation.

Jason Aldean has shared his horror at the event and confirms that the band and crew are safe.

Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night. #heartbroken #stopthehate
