Miley Cyrus Gets Emotional Over Hurricane Harvey

Miley Cyrus got very emotional when talking about the devastation from Hurricane Harvey. Miley stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to announce she was pledging $500,000 towards relief efforts in Texas, and teared up when talking about what is happening in the area.

“I can’t really talk about it. I don’t know why it makes me so upset. It just really makes me really upset,” she said through tears. “I couldn’t fake it. My grandma’s sitting here, my mom’s here, and I go home to my seven dogs. If I didn’t have that anymore, it would just be really hard.”

She added, “I’m really happy to help any way that I can and I hope people understand and can put themselves in those people’s shoes and know what it feels like to have everything taken away from you.” Check out a clip of Miley's interview to the right - the full interview will air next Thursday, the new season of "The Ellen Degeneres Show"  premieres Tuesday, September 5th.
