In a recent study, we have learned that car thefts have gone up over the past few years. According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, this is what they had to say:

Car thefts are up nationally for the second year in a row, according to the NICB’s “Hot Wheels” report, with Honda Civic and Accord models keeping their spot as the most stolen cars of the year. More than 50,400 Civics and 49,500 Accords were stolen in 2016. Those two models make up 42 percent of cars stolen last year, many of them older models.

  7. GMC Pick-Up (Full Size, 2001): 1,308
  8. Toyota Camry (2016): 1,132
  9. Nissan Altima (2015): 1,119
  10. Chevrolet Impala (2008): 897
