ROMO TOO 'HARSH' WHILE PRACTICING TO CALL NFL GAMES FOR CBS

Minnesota Timberwolves v Dallas Mavericks

Ex-Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS analyst Tony Romo is about to find out the major difference between being a quarterback and an analyst.

Sometimes it’s not a good thing to be deadly accurate in his new job.

Romo recently spoke at an American Century Championship media conference this week and broke down what's going into preparing himself to be comfortable on the air, given that he's never done a regular-season NFL game as a full-time analyst. His response to the question of how tough it'll be to give his opinion on players he just played with months ago, he said this:

“The first two games I did, actually some of my bosses there at CBS told me, ‘You know, we don't need to be quite that harsh.’

So I think that part of it I probably have to find a fine line because the standard for playing this game is just - it's high. And to win and win a championship or to get there, I never got a chance to obtain that.”

Yeah, especially when he’d be critiquing the likes of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgersand Ben Roethlisberger.
