Dozens Of Bikers Escort Bullied Boy To School

When Katie Laybolt was worried about her son Xander because he had been bullied at school, she reached out to Defenders of the Children for help. They’re biker group dedicated to fighting all forms of child abuse and bullying, and they were happy to help the 10-year-old.

So yesterday, dozens of bikers showed up at Xander’s Nova Scotia home, dressed in leather, and escorted him to Harbourside Elementary school. The fourth-grader got to ride on the back of a bike and was cheered on by people who saw them.

Xander says even though the last school year was “rough” he’s hopeful about the future. “It’s good because I think of me getting all this help and support,” he explains, “I can also spread it to help others.”
