"Orange Is the New Black" is in the midst of a real-life criminal plan. A hacker, known as "the dark overlord," has released the first 10 episodes of the upcoming fifth season after Netflix refused to pay him.
The episodes were put on the file-sharing site the Pirate Bay. What's more, this may not be the last we hear from the dark overlord. He claims he also has more unreleased shows from ABC, Fox, National Geographic, and IFC.
“We’re quite ashamed to breathe the same air as you," the hacker writes of Netflix. "We figured a pragmatic business such as yourselves would see and understand the benefits of cooperating with a reasonable and merciful entity like ourselves.” As for the other networks, the dark overlord says "there’s still time to save yourselves. Our offer(s) are still on the table — for now.”
"Orange is the New Black" is scheduled to hit Netflix on June 9th.
