Major Layoffs At ESPN Stun The Sports World

There are many familiar faces that will no longer be seen on ESPN. The network today laid off 100 people. The list includes longtime NFL reporter Ed Werder, veteran baseball reporter Jayson Stark and NFL analyst Trent Dilfer.

They were among the anchors, reporters, analysts and production staffers let go. Also included were "SportsCenter" anchors Jaymee Sire, Chris Hassel, Jay Crawford, and basketball analyst Len Elmore, who's been with the network more than two decades.

Others getting pink slips include NHL columnist Scott Burnside, Tennessee Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky, college basketball reporter Dana O'Neil, and ESPNU anchor Brendan Fitzgerald. Even worse? Rumors that the cuts aren't done. We'll keep you posted.
